Believed to be John Henri Millward SEGROTT, born in 1902 (Wisbech Q2-1902 3B:550), (mother ? SEGROTT), the adopted son of Edgar and Rebecca BAILEY (née MISSEN).

1911 census...Aged 8 he was a boarder with cab driver in livery stable, Edgar BAILEY and wife Rebecca, at Station Terrace, Newmarket

He married Ethel AUSTIN in Isleham in 1930 (Newmarket Q1-1930 3B:790). In 1939 they were at The Pit, Isleham with their son Leslie John BAILEY.


Being on the Commonwealth War Grave Commission's List he must have died "in uniform" or if after discharge, for reasons attributable to his military service. Unless a relative can update us, that is all we can do for now.
